Sunday Smiles ♥

Sunday can be a grim cocktail of a hangover from Saturday evening and the impending gloom of Monday morning, however it doesn't have to be this way! While I am unable to offer a better hangover cure than Berocca and a bacon sandwich, I do hope to bring a small smile to your Sunday, making the thought of Monday morning seem a little more bearable.

i carry your heart with me (i carry it in
my heart) i am never without it (anywhere
i go you go, my dear; and whatever is done
by only me is your doing, my darling)
                                  i fear
no fate (for you are my fate, my sweet) i want
no world (for beautiful you are my world, my true)
and it's you are whatever a moon has always meant
and whatever a sun will always sing is you

here is the deepest secret nobody knows
(here is the root of the root and the bud of the bud
and the sky of the sky of a tree called life; which grows
higher than the soul can hope or mind can hide)
and this is the wonder that's keeping the stars apart

i carry your heart (i carry it in my heart)

Hello
Thanks for reading this post

December has finally arrived with the promise of snow, mittens and Christmas!

I also finished placement this week which means no more early starts this year! In addition an update on my story last week about Callan; he blew hot and cold with me and I am sick of guys that mess me around while they decide whether or not they want to go out with me so I deleted his number and I'm moving onwards and upwards!

This is Nina Nesbitt I think she is amazing and I know I've already linked a video of her's on my blog but she has released a video of one of her own songs so here it is and I hope you love it as much as I do!

Thanks for reading, I hope you had a great week and that you are looking forward to next week and the start of advent!

I met a new guy this week, he was very sweet when we met and was very keen to meet up again which I found refreshingly encouraging; I often find that guys play the hard-to-get card which can be so frustrating. Anyway we had agreed to meet up on Friday when on Thursday he texted me to tell me that he couldn't make it because he had a lot of work to do for Monday, that he wouldn't be able to do over the weekend. I didn't know how to take this, it was either a poor excuse for a brush off or he genuinely couldn't make it. I felt confused and annoyed but my friends encouraged me to give him the benefit of the doubt and wait to see what happens.

The interesting thing about this was that during last week when we were exchanging texts he would reply quickly and I would be the one putting distance between us. But now I'm the one waiting to hear from him, the tables have turned and I'm reminded of a line from Baz Luhrman's song Everybody's Free: 'Don’t be reckless with other people’s hearts, don’t put up with people who are reckless with yours'. What ever happens with this guy I have learnt lessons from this that I would do well not to forget, if you find a nice guy don't push him away because he acts different to all the other dicks. Maybe he is a genuinely nice guy and he might mistake your distance as cold rather than self preservation.

In other news it's my sister's birthday this week so I'm sending this slightly creepy video to her and anyone else who has a birthday this week, HAPPY BIRTHDAY!

Hope you have had a good week! I'm about to start my third week of placement and it is going really well. It made me realise that I tend to jump to judgements too quickly. I didn't give myself time to settle in before I was rushing to the conclusion that I was on the wrong course. Keeping an open mind is not always easy but it is something that I am going to try to be better at.

I wasn't so popular at my halls of residence this week as I set the fire alarm off with my hair dryer. It meant that all 4 floors of the residence, housing around 200 students had to be evacuated. Two fire engines turned up and I had to go up to the front and explain the situation to the head fireman. It was so embarrassing! But I do think it made me more confident, I just think whatever it is it can't be as embarrassing as 2 fire engines and 200 pjama clad students giving me evils!
Hope you have a great week!
